Mahabaleshwar is a hill station located in the Western Ghats range and one of the few evergreen forests of India.
It’s the quintessential residential hill station with an old world charm.
Located about 120 km (75 mi) southwest of Pune and 285 km (177 mi) from Mumbai.
Mahabaleshwar is the source of the Krishna River that flows across Maharashtra, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh.

We were looking for budget bungalow as we total 5 family and looking for 4 Day holiday, and any Hotel would have cost us more than 60000/-, considering avg room rate is 3000 in this peak season.(We went in April 2014), which would have been very high.
While searching online I come across Mamta bungalow(Website: www.mamtabungalow.com)
Initially I was little hasitate about going there since I could not find any reviews of this place on internet, but I found it bit reliable when I go through there website.
We booked Mamta bungalow at 6000/- per day with Five rooms, so total cost was 24000/-, I found it very cheap considering peak season.

When i reached to the hotel then i was surprised with the brand new bungalow, big sized rooms, cleanness, LCD TV, nice bathroom, excellent view from balcony( We can view famous Table Land and Sydney Point from the bungalow.), 24 hrs hot water and the warm hospitality.

This property has excellent location and views of hills and calm locality.The rooms were very neat and clean including the bathroom.

For Food, I didn’t find many options nearby, But we hired chef since Kitchen was there.
The chef can provide very homely food & prepared the food what we wanted.

Parking facility is there. Have a small lawn and nearby open space which can be used for campfires, badminton etc.

Hot water is a concern as it depends upon climate, as its on Solar.But Staff help us if we inform them in advance.
The care taker was very helpful & had arranged for the campfire which was fun!
There are restrictions to have loud music though you can play the music in the room all night.

Tip for ‘budget trip’ seekers – its 6 km distance from the main market is a deterrent as cab-drivers charge extra for pick-up and drop.

You can have single package deal for local sight-seeing during the entire stay with extra charges for pick-ups and drops waived off. Staff can help you to get you these deals.
We had our own vehicle, so not worries.

We visited Table Land,Venna Lake & Parsi Point.
House riding at Table Land and Venna Lake was awesome.
We also visited Mapro Garden, Located 2 KM away from the bungalow(we missed Strawberry Festival At Mapro Garden, Held in the month of March/April (during the Easter weekend)) and Velocity Temptations,Located just 10 minutes away from the bungalow, which was nice experience.
Chocolate Sizzler at Mapro Garden was delicious.

We stayed for 4 nights 5 days at Mamta bungalow in April 14. It was really excellent experience.
I will strongly recommend this Bungalow to the couples / families/ friend groups at reasonable price.
